CF Students FAQ

What do Friday night student services look like?

The primary focus of Friday night services is discipleship. Friday night services open up the window for students to meet other students, and leaders to build relationships with the students. Friday night services include worship and a short teaching before students split into small groups for discipleship and game time. Where student leaders are intentional about caring for their students.

What do I do with my kid since he/she is too young and gets bored too quickly?

This is an opportunity for parents to be accountable to their children and make sure they are listening to the message. It also creates an opportunity for parents to engage with their children after service and discuss what was taught, answer any questions, and help them apply the lesson to their own lives.

Proverbs 22:6 says, “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.”

Will you offer anything for my kids during Sunday service?

The primary focus of the new CF Student model is to have parents worship with their child(ren). We know that some families stay for multiple services. If this is the case, we would like to see students join their parents for a worship service and then serve in a ministry for another. If they have attended a service and served, then we will have a small group available for them to participate in.

I can’t take my child on Fridays. Do you offer something else during the week/Sunday?

Some campuses have Student small groups throughout the week outside of Friday services. Ask your student pastor if your campus offers additional small groups that your student may attend.

Are there any resources for parents on Friday nights?

Tired of your daughter's attitude? Is your 13-your-old boy boycotting deodorant? Just want to vent about parenthood and eat cheese? As your child learns about the Lord at CF Students, join us for the parents Whine & Cheese gatherings. We are a group of parents that gather every Friday night to vent and encourage each other on this journey.
